- MBC shall be a non-governmental, non-political and a non-profit organization

The main objectives and functions of MBC are to promote the interest of its Members and to foster Malaysia/Vietnam business interests and shall include:
- Organizing, publishing and distributing internally news bulletin
including dissemination of business and general information in
accordance with the Law on Publication of the Socialist Republic of
Vietnam.
- Participating in activities relating to exploring commercial/
investment opportunities and promotions organized by the Vietnam
Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other relevant Vietnamese
authorities;
- Organizing meetings between its Members and Vietnamese State
management authorities on commercial, investment and services
issues;

Cooperating with local and national authorities to seek Members’
feedback on laws, regulations and procedures relevant to enhance the
attractiveness of Vietnam’s business environment;
- Through the Executive Committee, submitting petitions and
suggestions to Vietnamese State management authorities in order to
protect the legitimate interest of its Members and to contribute to the
creation of a healthy business environment;
- Promoting business ties between Malaysia and Vietnam for the mutual benefit of its Members and their Vietnamese counterparts.

Providing platforms for networking among Members and potential and new
Malaysian businesses keen to invest in Vietnam and also with other
business chambers / groups of other Countries in Vietnam.
- Promoting and organizing social and cultural events, sports and
other healthy activities (which may include charity) for its Members
and their families.
